The front lawn on the north side of the parsonage is not actually a sprawling yard but our church graveyard.

The Church Records concerning those who were buried in "The Cemetery at New Bleking" are incomplete.  The following names are taken from the Parish Register and from a record kept by Elmer Westman.

As best as can be determined, buried in the graveyard are:

GEORGE OSCAR PETERSON- died on January 24, 1878 at the age of 29 years, of "pneumonia"

OSCAR EMANUEL PETERSON- died on August 13, 1878, the 6 month son of George Oscar & Anna                                                           Christina, of "pneumonia"

ANNA CHRISTINA- died on September 8, 1878, the 24-year-old widow of George Oscar Peterson, of 

                                "pneumonia'

LARS JOHAN PETERSON- died on January 6, 1879, at the age of 49. "Killed by a railroad train;"

                                             husband of Sara Catherina (Pehrodatter) and father of Pehr, Eva                                                             Christine, Johan, Hulda Caroline, Jennie Marie, Karina (Catharina)

                                             Augusta, and Ella Amanda (who preceded him in death)

ELLA AMANDA PETERSON- died in August of 1875, at at he age of 2 years; daughter of Lars Johan 

                                                & Sara Catharina

KURT JOHAN ERIC OLSON- who died at birth, a son of Martin "Captain' & Emilia Marie

JOHAN ROS- husband of Stina Ruth (Johanson) and father of Anders Magnus, Johanna Gustafva,

                        and Carl Johan; he farmed east of Tustin on the old John Stenman farm.

CARL JOHAN JOHNSON- buried in the cave-in of a well and died after rescue from exposure and

                                           injury

AUGUST HYBERG- died on November 7, 1879, at the age of 21 year, of "asthma"; son so Jons &

                                 Karsten

 

OLAUS JOHANSON- died on Christmas Day in 1880, of "typhoid fever", at the age of 47  years; he

                                   was the husband of Carolina and the father of Carl Alfred, Maria Carolina, and

                                   Alfred
